About Us:
The NWA Black History Showcase was birthed from the desire to give local up- and-coming performers a platform to display their talents right here in Northwest Arkansas.
The month of February was chosen to help educate the community on the contributions and accomplishments of African Americans in the United States and around the world. The NWA Black History Showcase celebrates Black Culture through song, dance, and the spoken word.
The idea for NWABHS was conceived by local Actor and Realtor, Detra Jackson; who determined that helping others express their talents could be combined with assisting those with needs.
NWABHS is non-profit and helps raise money for worthy causes both locally and abroad. This year donations will be raised for Local Student Scholarships!
